Coach Rodney

I am Rodney Phillips, owner and administrator of Sol Volleyball, and I am entering my 13th year of coaching volleyball. I started off coaching my daughter in the 12s age group and have coached every age group the last 8 years. My main goals are to teach girls the correct way to play volleyball, be competitive, have fun, and most importantly, practice good sportsmanship.

Coach Martin

Going into my 11th year of club coaching. Father of 4 coached oldest Jazmin played for FHS 2016-2020 and scholarship for Trinity International University in Chicago Illinois. My second oldest Nathalie also played at FHS. Coaching is my hobby and my passion.

Hello, my name is Jasmine Coronado. I have played Volleyball growing up at many different levels beginning with YMCA, El Paso City Parks and Recreation, Franklin HS and a few clubs until I found my home as a player and now Coach with El Paso Sol Volley ball Club.  I played collegiately at Trinity International University.  I am entering 3rd year as a Coach.

Coach Danielle

Hello! My name is Danielle Phillips and I have been playing volleyball since I was in the 5th grade. I played as a setter for Sol for three years and have been an Assistant Coach for Sol for 4 years. I attended and played volleyball at Coronado High School and I currently attend UT Austin, where I am majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy Exercise Science. I mainly work with the setters and I love to help out as much as possible!

Coach Sarah Ballard

2022 17U Head Coach
2023 18s Head Coach
Biography has of yet to be submitted.  As a matter of fact, we had to crop (hijack) her image just to be able and introduce her to you! Know that she played in her younger years.  Described by peers as a strong player with great court presence and awareness. As our coach she just makes things happen.  She does not need to raise her voice; her experience speaks volumes.

Coach Shae Jasso

2022 17U Assistant Head Coach 2023 18U Assistant Head Coach Biography has yet to be submitted but 'i'LL TELL YOU WHAT?!" Coach Shae is another gem that our club is blessed with. She holds her own court with great technical acumen. We are trying to make her a head coach; however, she likes to see things through and is thriving as an assistant to Coach Sarah. It's like having 2 super heroes on the same court.

Hello, my name is Coach Mando.  I am entering my 14th year coaching youth Volleyball.  My philosophy is too easy to relate with but extremely difficult to hold on to if you’re the competitive parent or coach.  THEY ARE STUDENT ATHLETES.  THIS IS NOT TEAM USA.  Okay; and the unwritten rules for volleyball parent (Credit Jeff Farmer – El Paso Sunspots):  1. We all want our daughters to PLAY.  2. We all want our daughters on the CHAMPIONSHIP team.  3.  Very difficult to have both.

Our humble Coaches that deserve to be more than recognized but stubbornly avoid our accolades, support, gratitude and appreciation;

13U (C) Coach Rachel

14U (B) Coach Jasmine Coronado
